Roller Derby has always been known as a sport for women.
Men could only participate as non-skating officials (volunteers) or as referees.
Some might have thought it as unfair. Well, tough! Rules are rules. You have to abide by them.
Johnny B. Good always admired the fierce women in derby so he decided to learn about the
official rules and become a referee.
There was a team in a nearby city called Pallet City Roller Girls.
He always volunteered to be a ref at every bout and scrimmage the roller girls had. At one Halloween party,
the girls made him dress up as one of their star skaters. Surprisingly, many of the teammates mistook the
ref for the actual player and they all had a great laugh. Meanwhile, in the back of Johnny's head, there
was a little voice saying "One of us... One of us..."
There were tryouts coming up for their rivals the Catch 'Em Roller Girls. Johnny thought to himself,
"I don't want to be good anymore. Let me break a few rules." He dressed up as a woman and attended the try outs.
Of course he would pass considering he skated with the Pallet City Roller Girls for five years.
His goal is to live this double life of referee and bouting skater. Little does he know that he will soon have
to face his own team in a match!! Dun dun dunnnn~!
