When you see a ghost do you ever wonder what they are doing, why they are there, and how do we look to them. I had an interesting idea. What if a ghost is simply someone doing their normal thing living out there lives and to them we look like a ghost. A bit of a paradox. It is said that certain older locations ghost can be more visible. So I had an idea with that in mind.
You've recently purchased a new house that was almost too good to be true. You move in and everything is fine for many months, but on April 29th something sinister comes alive with the house. The house is alive! In addition you see a very real ghost and a journal is laid out before you that has never been seen.
The history of the house belonged to a serial rapist/murderer, Desmond and today was his execution in this very house. Today he seeks revenge on those that would kill him. No period in time is safe from his anger.
Survivor 1, Survivor 2, House
House through time. Player 1's house will be current time. Player 2's house will be in the 60's. Though the architecture is the same the design may not.
If you play a 3 player game you will have two people act as the survivors, the third as the house. The two survivors cannot see each other except for special instances. Though objects located in each time are manipulated by each survivor and the effects are seen on the others screen.
This can be displayed in remodeling in one and not the other, locked door for one would be unlocked for the other. Survivor 1 turns on a light the light will go off for survivor 2. Messages written on notes from the journal will contain small cryptic messages from each survivor to talk if they want.
The person playing the house is purposely trying to separate the survivors and kills them. This can be done by various sound cues and environmental effects that can egg a person forward. At first the house is waking from its yearlong slumber and is weak so Desmond cannot come out for his prey if they are together. As the house wakes up the proximity needed between the players will be less.
Win and Live, Lose and Die. If one survivor dies for whatever reason the other will have a specified time to escape. This will be when Desmond is satisfied with his last kill and will come for you. If you’re the house the results are the opposite of the survivors. You win if you kill them both; loose if even one escapes (Desmond will not be happy).
For the survivors it will be staying somewhat together even though they cannot see each other. This will be indicated by the surrealism of the house, and the audible associations of Desmond about to get his prey. Certain areas will be accessible after the other survivor performs a task and vice versa.
I have never played a game like this.
