This game is all about staying alive. You wake up from a tragic accident, only to find that life is no where to be found. You discover that an outbreak has killed off most of the human race, and have caused animals to become enraged and aggresive. That leaves only you and very few others who were not affected by the outbreak. You must use your surrounding resources to live. Watch out because there are no rules or laws, and people are desperate.
You will play as Jack Daniels, a hard working store owner who was recently in a tragic accident just outside of his hometown of Toronto CA. He desperately wants to make his way home in order to see if his family and friends are alive.
The basic rule is to survive at any cost. You will start with nothing, but as you explore your surroundings you will find food, weapons, supplies, shelter, and even people that can help you along in your travels. These people will offer you valuable items that will greatly help your journey to the city in exchange for your help with something they need.
This game is similar to a game called "I Am Alive" created by Ubisoft. It is a survival game and is based around some unknown catastrophic event in Chicago. One of the things that makes Alive! different is the setting. While "I Am Alive" takes place in a big city, Alive! mostly takes place in rual areas of Toronto. Also, in Ubisoft's game, the cause of the breakdown in society is much different and is limited to a smaller area. And while Ubisoft chose a Third-Person point of view, Alive! will be all First-Person.
